Level Designer
Autopocalypse is a multiplayer racing game set in the future after an apocalypse. Autopocalypse was created in Torque Game Engine Advanced 1.7.1. The game was created in four months and had a team of six. My role on the team as the level designer included the following responsibilities:
- Designing both levels from beginning to end.
- Sculpting the terrain in both levels.
- Communicating with the artists on what assets were needed for each level.
- Placing all assets in each level.
Level 1 - The Ruined City
The idea behind The Ruined City is that a section of highway was salvaged after the apocalypse. This highway is now used as a racing ground for people trying to claim a winning title.
Level 2 - The Desert
The idea behind The Desert is that a course has been fashioned outside of one of the only nuclear power plants that was not destroyed in the apocalypse. The course is surrounded by radiated cacti that have begun to grow larger than normal. There is also remnants of the surrounding town that was destroyed and mostly buried in the landscape.
